Blessed
What an amazing weekend! We had so much fun. Not because we were busy all weekend, but because we spent it with our families.
We got up this morning and went to church (Hewitt Community)with Bill and Rhonda. The pastor (Ken) did a wonderful job. Keep in mind that our church has 4000 people attend on the weekends. So I forget how a smaller church feels. But this small church of about 50 was warm and authentic, (Genuine).
I have known Pastor Ken for more than 15 yrs. And I have always known him to be a caring person, but today I really had a chance to see his heart. There were many points in the service where he would get choked up and begin to weep. His message was filled with compassion and a deep love for God. Ken preached on the Tomb of Jesus. His points were how the enemy tries to block us from a relationship with the Risen Savior.

Three points,
The Stone, that represents the natural obstacles that come between us and Christ.
The Seal, placed by the roman authority, represented the Spiritual warfare we face restricting us.
The Soilders, that was the human effort to keep us from Christ.
But, the fact was none of those obstacles kept Christ in,(the Tomb) and like wise can't keep us out!
Later, we went to my sisters house in Riesel. My dad and Alice drove in from Houston, where they had been visiting family. Dennis my brother and Jon my nephew also came.
We had so much fun talking about the ole' times and funny memories. We laughed for hours.
My two nieces also came, Paige and Kayleigh.
It was good to see them! They are wonderful respectful young women. Their Granny (my mother)would be proud.
I know I am.
I truly thank God for family, our love for each other and the heritage of Christ. I hope you had a good Easter.
Blessings,
Danny
